Albert Treu, age 82, passed away May 4, 2023, in Vero Beach, FL. He was a loving husband of 59 years to Elaine, dedicated father to Patrick Treu, Darlene Cegala (Darren) and Carolyn Seavey (Mark) and a fun loving grandfather to Ross Treu, Ricky Treu, Chloe Treu, Zachary Seavey, Connor Cegala, Matthew Cegala, and great grandfather to Skylar Treu. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Treu.
Al was born and raised in New York. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force where he served for six years as an Electronic Technician working in above ground missile silos. After the Air Force, he worked at IBM for thirty years as a Computer Systems Architect where he participated in the development of a number of inventions that led to multiple IBM patents. After retiring from IBM, Al spent his time doing taxes at H&R Block and volunteering in the local community at St. Vincent de Paul in Vero Beach. In his retirement years, Al enjoyed traveling with Elaine, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
