Sandy passed away surrounded by family at her Vero Beach home July 6, 2023. She moved to Vero Beach from Park Ridge, IL in 1980 with her husband Ed and son Jim and was joined later by daughter Pam.
Sandy retired from Walgreens with over a decade of service, coming from Weiss Meats where she had worked for many years. Always quick with a smile, she was a favorite of her customers.
She cherished her friends and was equally adored in return. Sandy loved her pets and was known to take in the occasional stray.
She is survived by her son Jim McGhee of Vero Beach, daughters Pam McGhee of Vero Beach and Lynne Kepler (Doug) of Corsica, PA, her grandchildren Jake, Ty (Liz) and Muir (Ryan), great-grandchildren Cassius and Dylan and her cat Lissette.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband Ed Pohlson and daughter Susan McGhee.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
