I am just in disbelief still. Billy was an awesome gentle giant. I remember the day I met him and his family at the moose. He welcomed us with open arms. We had some awesome talks and laughs and he had the best hugs. You could tell he loved his family and friends he was always smiling no matter what. I will miss you my friend until we meet again look over family they loved you so much. RIP

Billy, Lesley, Billy and Baylee you all know how we feel. We are heartbroken beyond words of Billy’s Sr passing. He was the gentle giant that had the best hugs and handshakes ever. He was not a friend you all became family to us. We are here for you all through it all. Sending all our love to you, and also to his fellow police officers who are also mourning one of their own. love- Gil & Lisa Plourde

Chapman Family, Billy was one of a kind and when God made him he broke the mold. He was sweet and caring and treated everyone with respect and dignity. He was a wonderful deputy and would boast and brag about his kids and grand-babies to anyone that would listen! He was a wonderful soul and his absence will be noticed. He is with you in your heart and always will be. Our deepest condolences to all of you.
