Eva Maria Krause died smiling on February 13th at the age of 90 in the living room of her Indian River Shores home.
Born in Germany, educated in Zueschen, Bad Wildungen, Marburg, Frankfurt, Maryland, Ann Arbor and Illinois, a minister’s daughter and a faculty wife, a teacher, musician and volunteer, the vivacious center of intimate gatherings and joyous parties, whose effortless elegance, sincerity and depth warmed the lives and hearts of all she encountered.
A natural mother, she is survived by “three boys”, beloved son Philip Krause, father of Benjamin and Elizabeth Krause; beloved son Thomas Krause, father of Aiesha and Trajan Krause-Lee, and foster-father to Reginald and Nickola Whittaker; and beloved son Peter Krause, father to Joseph Krause. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry D. Krause, her parents, Walther and Anita Disselnkoetter and an illustrious line of ancestors, including Charlemagne and Grimmelshausen.
A viewing will be held at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory on Feburary 16th, 2024 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
