Carol Ann DeGroot Mann, age 82, passed away August 9, 2019 at VNA Hospice House.
She was born November 21, 1936 in Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts to the late Louis and Mae DeGroot.
In addition to sharing her passion for the arts as a longtime instructor, she enjoyed dinners, theater and the gym with her friends. She found joy in weekly rides with her son in the 1948 ‘Chariot’, the love of her ‘animals’ and sharing with everyone her deaf-blind daughter’s adventures in Manhattan.
Carol is survived by children, Katherine “Kim” I. Mann Paulk, Donald N. Mann, Jr., and William C. “Bill” (Denise) Mann; sisters, Lorraine Stevens and Diane Hill; grandchildren, Daniel, Julie, Brandon, Allison, and Shelli; 9 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sister, Virginia Knapp and granddaughter, Jennifer.
