David L. Hefflebower, 80, of Vero Beach, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
He was born to parents, Edwin and Cecelia Hefflebower and grew up in Michigan. A graduate of Alma High School and the University of Michigan, David obtained his brokers license in real estate for both Michigan and Ohio. Mr. Hefflebower was a developer of subdivisions and four mobile home parks in Michigan and Ohio.
He permitted, built, and was the owner and operator of two marinas, HarborTown Marina, Ft. Pierce and HarborTown Marina, Merritt Island, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; his daughter, Jan (Michael) Chnupa; brother, Paul Hefflebower; sisters, Esther Stewart and Ruth Calcutt; and two grandchildren, Tyler Chnupa and David Chnupa of Vero Beach.
Mr. Hefflebower was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Hefflebower.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at First Church of God, 1158 58th Ave., Vero Beach.
