Danny Ray Hart, 71, died April 29, 2017 at VNA Hospice, Vero Beach, FL.
He was born in Salamanca, NY currently living in Eddyville, NY and Fort Pierce, FL.
He was a Unites States Navy veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War on the USS Intrepid.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and time spent with family and friends.
Dan retired from Moog, East Aurora, NY after 39 years. In 2010, he was ordained an Anglican priest with a jail ministry at Cattaragus County Jail, Little Valley, NY.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, East Aurora.
Dan was a member of Forward in Faith, NA, Chaplain to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Dept., Town of Mansfield Councilman, Volunteer fireman/ EMT, served on the Stress Debriefing team and was a life member of the American Legion.
Dan attended Houghton College, West Seneca, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; and children, Cara (Olimpio, Jr.) Torres, Kimberly (John) Findeisen, Kristine (Kevin) Merrill, Noelle Folkes, and Kenneth Folkes; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Requiem Mass will be held at S. Luke’s Anglican Church, 951 Porterville Rd., East Aurora at 11 AM on June 3, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church or a charity of choice.
