Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
William Warren Liedholm, 86, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2025. Born in New York and raised in the Chicago area, Bill lived a life full of passion, dedication, and adventure.
Bill married the love of his life, Eileen, on April 7, 1977, and together they shared nearly five decades of happiness and companionship. Bill’s journey took him from the Midwest to Charlottesville, VA, where he made a name for himself as an Educational Student Travel specialist, founding his own company in 1990. His business flourished, and in 1995, Bill and Eileen relocated to Annapolis, MD. After many successful years, he sold his business in 2009, embracing retirement with zest.
For the next decade, Bill split his time between Annapolis and Vero Beach, FL, before settling in Vero Beach in his later years. It was here he truly found peace, enjoying the fruits of his labor and cherishing the time spent with his beloved family. Bill was a proud member of the CEO Investment Club, the Annapolis Yacht Club, and The Moorings Yacht and Country Club, where he formed lasting friendships and shared his love for boating and the outdoors.
Bill’s interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Bill was an avid golfer, a talented gardener, and a passionate traveler, always eager to explore new places and experiences. Taking after his mother, was also an amazing baker and chef. He especially enjoyed taking cruises to Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, and South America, where he could immerse himself in different cultures and breathtaking landscapes. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he loved spending time with them, whether it was boating or simply enjoying their company. His love for sports was deep, as he was an all-American athlete in high school, attended college in Iowa on a baseball scholarship, and maintained a love for both baseball and football throughout his life.
Bill is survived by his wife, Eileen, his children William (Elizabeth) Liedholm, Jr., Christie (Alan) Peterson, Eric (Stephanie) Liedholm, Alex (Anny) Borg; grandchildren Jordan (Qiess), Brittany, Trenton, Amy (Chris), Karen (Lolo), Linda (Max), Zachary (Chelsea), Benjamin, Tyler, Dominic, Georgianna, Jacquelyne; great-grandchildren Bradley, Gabriel, Jack, Dylan, Hugo, Elliana, sisters Nancy (Steve) Danielson, and Lois Ingold, cherished pets Hugo and Millie, and many nieces, Nephews and close friend who will remember him for his unwavering devotion to his family, his hard work, and his love for the simple pleasures in life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and cherished memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Stephen Mancini.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home; Monday April 7th, 2025, at 1:00 pm with the service beginning at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SPCA or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Bill’s memory.
Rest in peace, Bill. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
