Ilse Maria Fechner, 97, died peacefully at home on May 13, 2025.
She was born and raised in Kassel Germany and emigrated to Hastings Michigan in 1949. She married Wolfram in 1951. They bought a Dairy Farm where they worked & raised their 3 children until retiring in 1988. Ilse & Wolf then moved to Ocean Resorts on Hutchinson Island, Florida which remained their home until their passing.
Ilse was a kind & caring person and touched the hearts of many. She enjoyed visits with family & friends, playing cards and her traditional afternoon coffee & cake.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. She had a strong faith that guided her through life.
Ilse is survived by her children Nancy (Bill) Feldpausch, Christina & John. Grandson Jonathan. Brothers Gunter & Klaus (Maria) Bachmann. Nephew Eric. Niece Sonja.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wolfram of 57 years. Sisters, Edith & Helga.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1850 6th Ave Vero Beach, Florida 32960 or to a charity of your choice in her name.
