Marjorie “Maggie” Denise McCullough-Bates, age 66, passed away on November 7th, 2025 in her home in Vero Beach, Florida.
She was born in the summer of 1959 to Luther McCollough and Dorothy Fesperman in Cameron County, Texas.
Maggie attended college in Colorado and received her associates degree in substance addiction counseling.
Maggie was employed and retired in Huntsville, Texas at the W.J. Estelle Mental Health Unit in 2004.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters Rachel Gorman, Jennifer Bates, and Jessica Bates; grandson’s Darren, Aiden, and Traigh Gorman.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Norris Lawson Bates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to 106 Gambel Oak Way, San Marcos, Texas 78666.
