Henry Albert Bock was born on Dec 8, 1934, in Paterson, NJ, to Anthony Henry Bock and Anna Louise Lucas Bock. His mother passed away June 27, 1942, when Henry was 7 years old and he moved to Vero Beach in 1941 to live with his grandparents.

Henry was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1953. He graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry in 1957.

Following his graduation from UF, Henry entered the U.S. Army and spent two years stationed in Alaska. He enjoyed his time in the Army as a tank radio operator and earned an expert marksman medal. He was always quick to share fond memories of his time in Alaska.

On August 9, 1959, Henry married Ann Frances Nelson of Oak Hill, WV. They resided in Vero Beach, and raised 3 sons: John, David and Mark Bock.

While living in Vero, Henry worked two years for an insurance company, seven years for Piper Aircraft and 22 years for Ciba-Geigy (Novartis).

Hunting and fishing were his lifelong love, an interest he shared with his children and grandchildren.

His greatest interest during his life was studying the word of God and sharing it. He was a faithful servant at First Baptist Church for many years, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Later in life he faithfully attended several other churches and his men’s bible study group, where he loved getting to know everyone.

He is survived by his son John Bock (Jessica), David Bock (Amy), Mark Bock (Amanda) and 9 grandchildren: Isaac, Maddie, Eli, Grant, Davis, Jessie, Kate, Haldemz, and Jessieanne.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2016 and will be interred with her at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
