Thomas Joseph Rollando, age 65, passed away April 7, 2026, at his home in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York to John and Yolanda Rollando. He was a graduate of Perdue University with a bachelor’s in aeronautics and then a master’s in business from the University of Pennsylvania.

Professionally, Tom began his career—ironically—as an aerospace engineer. Many have joked that portfolio management is more challenging than rocket science; Tom’s clients had the rare advantage of having an actual rocket scientist guiding their investments. Although he was hired to focus on engineering, those who knew him best recall that he spent just as much time helping colleagues navigate their 401(k)s. What began as a willingness to help others soon grew into a true calling.

That calling led him to the Wharton School of Business, where he studied portfolio management under some of the most respected minds in the field. In an era increasingly defined by ETFs and mutual funds, Tom remained devoted to the true craft of portfolio management. His final professional achievement was founding Warren Capital Management, along side his partner Sue Tompkins, in Vero Beach, Florida—a culmination of his vision, discipline, and passion.

Tom genuinely loved what he did. It was never simply a profession; it was a lifelong pursuit. He devoted himself to reading, studying, and refining his thinking—not out of obligation, but out of genuine curiosity and passion. To Tom, markets, portfolios, and ideas were not work—they were a constant source of purpose and inspiration.

Yet, above all, what mattered most to Tom was his family. His wife, children, grandchildren, parents, and siblings were at the center of his life. He cared deeply for them and took great pride in providing for and supporting those he loved.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his beloved wife, Laurie; children, Thomas J. Rollando, II (Brooke), Matthew F. Rollando (Brittany), Grace A. Rollando (Timothy); grandchildren, Brynlee, Kesslyn, Bane, Mia, Chase, Deanna; and siblings, Michael (Michelle) and Theresa Zimmerman (Pete); along with many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., with Chaplain Mac Burberry officiating, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Tom was a great Girl Scout Dad! Whether it was carrying cases of Girl Scout cookies around for the troop, helping out on a camp out, running over some last minutes snacks for the girls, Tom was always eager to help out. Our deepest condolences on this loss to the entire Rollando Family.
