Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Barbara Ann Becker Harbaugh, formerly of Ocean City, NJ and a longtime resident of Vero Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving behind heavy hearts.
She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Catherine Becker.
Barbara invested her life in those she loved and will be remembered as a caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She was known for always being just a phone call away, for her warm smile, signature pink lipstick, and her gift for making others feel heard and cared for. Barbara loved checking in to stay connected and keep up with the lives of those she deeply cherished. Every conversation with Barbara was sure to include both laughter and tears, often accompanied by her unmistakable giggle.
She dedicated many years of her career to The Moorings, where her coworkers became like a second family. Barbara especially enjoyed sunshine-filled days, happy hours, and sharing wonderful meals with family and friends.
Barbara was the loving mother of Lisa Harbaugh and was preceded in death by her children, Lynne and Bobby. She was the dear sister of Julie Becker (Bill) and sister-in-law of Suzy Becker, and was preceded in death by her siblings George Becker, Jr. and Cathie Daley, and Cathie’s husband Bill. She was the cherished grandmother of Danny Williams and a devoted aunt to Debbie Becker (late Randy), the late George Becker III, Russell Hendricks (Lane), Sharon Gallen (late Michael), Billy Hendricks (Kelli), Kate Daley-Yankanich (Bill), Colleen Keaveney, as well as an admired great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in Ocean City at a later date, with details to follow. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

My earliest memory of Barbara was the warm hug she gave me on my very first day working at The Moorings. That moment perfectly reflected the kind, welcoming, and caring person she was. Barbara was truly loved by all of us and was such a dedicated part of our golf shop family for so many years. Along with her warmth and kindness, she had a wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone smile and instantly feel at ease. Her friendly spirit, laughter, and genuine care for others touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always. With heartfelt sympathy, Kim Gardner

As I read it, so many wonderful memories of times I had with Barbie came flooding back, and I found myself smiling. She brought so much warmth, laughter, and joy to those around her. I am deeply saddened as I just heard of Barbara’s passing. We got to know each other from fourth grade attending St Laurence school in Highland Park, when she and her family arrived. Her parties for us kids are still remembered as was her geniality, humor and beauty. May she rest in peace in Jesus’s arms. ❤️
