Nancy Blauvelt Zabriskie, beloved wife of Francis Roy (Red) Zabriskie, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026. Nancy was born at home in Ridgewood, NJ on March 8, 1930, the only child of Virginia Simpson and Randall Pennington Blauvelt. She graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1948 and went on to Green Mountain College in Vermont.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Virginia and husband Chris Goble, grandchildren Catherine and Christopher, and great-granddaughter Faith; her son Francis Roy (Mike) Zabriskie and partner Scott Salvator; and her daughter Linda and husband James Maginness, and grandchildren Taylor and Lauren Maginness.

Nancy was always active and believed in giving back and contributing to her community. She was a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild for many years. She was also a Valley Hospital Volunteer, a longtime member of the Board of Social Service of Ridgewood and Vicinity, and more recently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Blauvelt Descendants, which became very meaningful to her.

For 20 years she worked in real estate. She loved tennis and spent many hours on the courts at the Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club.

Most of all, she adored getting family together. Nancy stayed in touch and remained connected to as many people as she could. She truly believed that human connection was the greatest gift we have, and that it leads to a meaningful life of love, caring and helping one another through good times and bad.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
