Robert (Bobby) William Kelley, born December 14, 1953 at Broward General Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away after a prolonged illness, on May 19, 2026 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL surrounded with love from family and close friends. He was proceeded in death by his mother Elsa Carlson Kelley.

Bob leaves behind his son Christopher Kelley, grandson Dalton Kelley, granddaughter Michayla Bonilla, sister Christine (Tina) Hagstrom, brother Ron Noon, sister Georgia Kelley and their spouses and families including nieces, nephews and great nephews as well as many longtime friends who will always remember him with love.

Bobby lived most of his life in Boca Raton, FL and moved to Vero Beach in 2012.

His profession was house painter, but his painting frequently led to him doing other construction related projects. He was always ready to help a friend.

To friends and family Bobby was known as generous, courageous, private, loving, loyal, meticulous, compassionate. He was full time caregiver to his mom Elsa through the ordeal of dealing with Alzheimer’s, not an easy task, but one he took on willingly.

Bobby enjoyed golf and was an avid fisherman, both salt and fresh water. He refurbished classic cars, built race cars and raced at various local tracks. He loved parties and his handsome looks and gravelly voice always attracted women.

To those closest to him the last few years have created new titles for him of Warrior and Hero. Bobby will always be special in the hearts of all who knew him.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

In a conversation with Bobby recently he said, “I have had such a great life. In fact, I feel like I got to live two lives!” And now, I hope he’s dropping a fishing line into some Heavenly body of water! When we were little, Bobby and I rode our bikes up to the Community Center’s egg hunt at Easter. There were hundreds of beautifully colored eggs all over the baseball fields but only a small number (maybe only 1!) of gold and silver eggs. Bob found a gold egg in the crook of a tree, cupped it in his hands, and brought it to me! That’s the kind of brother he was and the kind of gracious man he became. I miss him terribly, but our memories comfort me. I love you, Bobby
