To Jack’s dear family,
Losing someone you love makes the whole world feel heavier. Even small, everyday moments can suddenly remind you of Pat and bring that ache right back. The Bible understands that pain—it calls death an enemy, because it leaves a space nothing else can fill. But God never meant for you to face heartbreak like this, and His purpose hasn’t changed.
God longs to undo what death has done. Job was sure of that when he said, “You will call, and I will answer.”—Job 14:14-15. And Jehovah has already shown us what that call will look like—through Jesus waking a child from death, returning a son to his mother, and calling Lazarus from the tomb.
Those moments are previews of what Jesus will soon do for the whole earth. The Bible promises a resurrection—billions brought back to life. And that includes Jack. Jehovah hasn’t forgotten him. Every detail—his voice, his smile, his personality—is safe in God’s memory.
And Jack will live again, not far away in heaven, but right here on a peaceful, restored earth. Families reunited. Conversations picked up where they left off. Laughter returning to homes that feel too quiet now. (Psalm 37:29, Rev. 21:3-4)
Jack’s story isn’t over.
