Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Carol Weidemier passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026. She was the daughter of Larry and Thelma and sister of Sandra.
Carol’s warm and caring nature made others feel welcome and valued. Her achievements in higher education and careers as a teacher and a librarian displayed her intelligence and lifelong curiosity. Throughout her life, she held many different roles, responsibilities, and interests, but her true passion was her family. She taught by example her love of learning, faith, and desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Her smile and laughter brought joy to those around her.
She will be remembered for her skill with word games and puzzles, her delight in poking around antique stores for treasures which then beautified her home or made the perfect gift, and her zeal for cheering on the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team and the Dodgers. She was a superb travel companion who loved sharing an adventure. She jumped into the passions of others, from building a log cabin by hand with her husband to giving wholehearted support to her daughters’ eclectic pursuits.
Her memory will live on in the kindness she showed to others, her enthusiasm for life, and the many moments of joy she shared with those who knew her.
Carol will be deeply missed by her husband Larry, daughters Linda and Kirsten and their families, and her extended family and many friends.
Her memorial service will be held at Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, FL (2725 58th Ave, Vero Beach FL 32966) on October 24 at 11:00 am.
