Theresa Schultz, age 98, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at Rosewood Manor in Vero Beach, Florida.
Born on January 5, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Jeanette and Matthew Brosky, Theresa moved with her family to Maspeth at the age of 12. She graduated from P.S. 73 in Maspeth and later in life proudly earned her GED, reflecting her determination and commitment to lifelong learning.
On October 5, 1952, Theresa married the love of her life, Arthur P. Schultz. Together, they built a life filled with love and family, raising their four children, Andrew, Gregory, Phillip, and Justine. Their family journey took them from Maspeth and Corona to Selden, New York, where they settled in the late 1960s. In the 1990s, Theresa and Arthur made their way to Florida, enjoying time in Ocala and Tequesta.
Throughout her life, Theresa held several positions, beginning her career with the Bulova Watch Company in New York City. During the 1970s, she worked for E.J. Korvette’s and W.T. Grant Company before joining the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in the 1980s. She served as a Motor Vehicle Clerk for 11 years before retiring.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Theresa attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta, where she also generously volunteered her time with the church’s Sewing Ministry Group, sharing her talents and caring spirit with others.
Above all, Theresa treasured her family. She was a loving wife and devoted mother whose greatest joys were found in the lives of those she loved. Her family grew to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. The memories, love, and traditions she leaves behind will continue to be cherished for generations.
Theresa is survived by her children, Andrew P. Schultz (Laura), Gregory Schultz, and Justine Bona (Charles); her grandchildren, Kristina Fearon (Ciaran), Adam Schultz, Ciarra Meyers (Adam), Angelina Codi (Michael), Lorenzo Bona (Connie), Matthew Schultz (Kelly), Gregory Schultz Jr., and Tyler Schultz; and her great-grandchildren, Padraig, Penelope, and Valentina.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur P. Schultz; her son, Philip Schultz; her parents, Jeanette and Matthew Brosky; and her brothers, Matthew and Thomas Brosky.
Theresa’s 98 years were filled with family, faith, hard work, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
