James L. DeForest, 74, passed away on March 7, 2016. He was a beloved husband, cherished father and grandfather, and a one of a kind friend.
Born in January of 1942, Jim lived a large part of his life in Vero Beach, FL and Vineland, NJ until he moved to Wilbraham, Massachusetts where he opened his own graphics company-DeForest Associates. He was proud of his company and all of his employees, enjoyed 20 years of operation, and in 2003 retired to Vero Beach, Florida where he lived out the rest of his life.
While residing in Massachusetts, Jim was actively involved with the Wilbraham Peach Festival, Boston Road Business Association, local Boy Scout Troop #177, and a honored supporter of the DARE program. He was a member of the Wilbraham United Church and Ludlow Elks Lodge #2448.
Jim was an avid bowler and fisherman. He enjoyed Nascar, star gazing, bold sunsets, and life!
James is survived by his wife, Sharon (Campion) DeForest; brother, George DeForest; sister-in-law, Sheryl (husband, Robert) Snyder all of Vero Beach, FL. Son, James Jr. and daughter, Jennifer of Wilbraham, MA; daughters, Kimberly, Cheryl, and Lisa of Barrington, NJ; stepmother, Janice DeForest and sisters, Caron, Beth, Susan and Sandra of Ocean City, NJ; grandchildren, Cameron, Brynn, Tyler, Sumer, Nicholas and Danielle; several nieces and nephews, as well as many more family members and good friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later time, at the convenience of the family.
