Irene �Shirley� M. Coates, age 74, of Vero Beach passed away on April 14, 2016.
She was born September 4, 1941 in Milford, Massachusetts to the late Walter and Lucile Mograss.
Shirley was a Research Engineer for Raytheon until retiring in 2008. She enjoyed giving back by volunteering at AAUW, United Way, and various community organizations.
She is survived by sisters, Jeanette Trotta of Hopedale, MA and Frances Odems of Framingham, MA; brother, Elmer Mograss of Uxbridge, MA; daughter, Renee Mograss of Ayer, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by husband, John C. Coates; siblings, Norman Mograss, Lucile Doquesnay, and Edward Mograss.
