Maynard Charles Christjansen, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 8, 2016.
Mr. Christjansen was born in Momence, Illinois, to parents Harry W. and Clara Bydalek Christjansen .
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Christjansen was a former member of the American Legion and it’s Color Guard in Momence.
Mr. Christjansen was the co-owner and operator of Park Trailer MFG, Inc., located in Grant Park, IL, from 1960-1982, when he moved to Vero Beach.
Locally, he had worked with East Coast Tile, Vero Beach, for approximately 15 years as their warehouse manager.
Mr. Christjansen enjoyed woodworking and genealogy.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
He is survived by his daughter, Marta C. Christjansen and his son, Jon M. Christjansen, both of Vero Beach.
Mr. Christjansen was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, and sisters, Harriet Maas and Joanne Manns.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Christjansen will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11th, at St. Helen Catholic Church.
