Joe Schasane, 83, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on June 22, 2016, while surrounded by family members at Brookdale Clare Bridge Assisted Living. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois and lived in Vero Beach since 1955. He worked as a manager of local drug stores for over 25 years.
Joe was a Korean War Veteran and served in the United States Army. Survivors include his son, Wayne Schasane of Vero Beach; daughters, Florinda Mazzarella and Cheryl Monroe, both of Vero Beach; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Loy Schasane; brother, Bob Schasane; and sisters, Barbara Turner and Dorothy.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be at Good Shepherd Church at 4325 65th Street, Vero Beach at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Church – Mission Fund.
