Dorothy E. Granse passed away July 7, 2016, at a local health care facility. She was born March 19, 1923, in Reed City, Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Alteman (Delila Abendroth). On December 22, 1945, Dorothy married James M. Granse in Saginaw, Michigan. They lived in Saginaw until 1983, when they moved to Vero Beach, Florida. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; mother and father; and four siblings, Godfrey Alteman, Esther Fox, Arnold Alteman, and Barbara Sims; and her daughter, Margo Granse Neff. She leaves behind her son, Jim (Jennifer); grandchildren, Bridget and Bryan (Brooke); and two great grandchildren, Ashley and Parker Granse.
The family wishes to thank Brookdale Assisted Living Facility and Consulate Health Care for their loving care and to Sam and Joanne Pennington and Kathleen Wetzell for their loyal friendship. Her ashes will be interred at the columbarium at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church.
