Stuart Anderson, 93, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Saturday, January 24, 2015. He is survived by his wife Mary S. Anderson, son David Anderson (Earline) and daughters, Mary Niederlander and Carol Hixenbaugh (Larry) and his sister Ruth Russell. He has 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marguerite, daughter Florence-Pinky Buehrig (Richard) and son-in-law Paul Niederlander.
Stuart was the son of the late David and Jessie Anderson. Stuart spent most of his life in Buffalo, NY where he was born. He was raised in Fort Erie, ONT, CA where he went to and graduated from Fort Erie HS. He and his wife Marge settled in Buffalo after a stint in the Navy during WWII.
Stu was an avid sailor and won many championships throughout the US and Canada while sailing his Lightning “Glockenspiel”. He was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Company for 40 years. He was the president of the Local 1339 IBEW for 10 years. He also served as the Head of Employee Services Western Division. He has lived the last 9 years in Vero Beach with his wife Mary.
