William A. Campbell, age 85, passed away on April 24, 2015 at his residence in YeeHaw Junction, Florida.
William (Bill) was born in Passaic, New Jersey on June 25, 1929. Bill was from Butler, New Jersey, where he had lived for 36 years, until moving to Vero Beach, Florida, after retirement.
Bill served in the US Navy.
Bill retired from Citibank in New York City, where he worked for 19 years, most recently as the Manager of the Securities Courier Department. Prior to Citibank he worked for The Bendix Corporation in Teterboro, New Jersey, as a Senior Planner in the Navigation and Control Division.
He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida.
Bill was a lifelong member of the Knights Of Columbus in Vero Beach, Florida and Butler, New Jersey. He served a Grand Knight and was also a 4th Degree Knight.
He was a graduate of Passaic High School, in New Jersey, and also attended management classes at Fordham University in New York City, received a Business Certificate from Patterson Commercial College, and Banking courses from the American Institute of Banking and the New York Institute of Finance.
Survivors include three sons; Robert Campbell, Edward Campbell and Glen Campbell; one daughter, Eileen Harriet, and two sisters Bette Comet and Eileen Werling . He also had seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 56 years, Minnie Campbell.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
