Margaret Klein Gavora, age 92, passed away on November 1, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Queens, New York and lived in Nyack, New York and Long beach, California, coming from Stanfordville, New York before her move to Vero Beach.
Margaret was a volunteer for POW camps during WWII in New Jersey. She retired as an owner and administrator of Community Residence for Veterans, where she enjoyed her 8 years of work in Stanfordville, New York. She also was a Real-estate Investor and a Taps and vocal instructor in Long Beach, California for 8 years. She was also a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
Margaret was a member at the Bridge Club, Veteran Association, Tap Dance Club, and Vocal Club. She attended school in Rockland County, New York.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Van Benschoten; son-in-law, Jim Van Benschoten; daughter, Marti Marie Leighton; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Gavora; brothers, Richard Klein, and Frances Klein.
