Richard was preceded in death by his parents William Roscoe and Margaret Lisle Kelly.

He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara, his three daughters and their husbands, Nancy & Richard Gruber, Jerri Lynn and Michael Awbrey, and Kristi and Jim Hall; four wonderful grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, and Dylan Awbrey and Rebecca Hall; a sister, Marianne Sears; a brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Cheryl Kelly; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, his best buddy CoCo and a loving extended family.

Richard was born October 30, 1944 in Kansas City, MO, where he graduated from Rockhurst High School.

On February 11, 1975 he married Barbara Bradley and together they raised 3 beautiful daughters. The love they had for each other was beyond measure and evident to everyone that knew them.

Several years after moving to Florida, Richard retired from the Social Security Administration after 25 years of service.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was always there for everyone and listened with a loving heart. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed many laughs with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching and coaching all sports; including baseball, girls softball, basketball and football. He especially enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family.

His strong relationship with Christ, as well as his Asbury church family, guided him and those around him through several difficult health problems.

He enjoyed volunteering, traveling, and family time at the beach. But his greatest joys were spending time, laughing until he cried, and playing a good, competitive card game with his family. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
