The journey of life began for Bronzy Hudson Wheeler, 85, years ago to the late Lucille Jones Hudson and Sinkie Hudson in Tallahassee, FL. She attended the public school in Tallahassee and earned her high school diploma in the Indian River County School District Adult Education Program. Beronzy received her early Christian nurture from her parents and at Mt. Zion AME Church in Gifford, FL. She was very active in various organizations and ministries of the church. She later attended St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, FL. She was well known for her culinary genius and could make the best cookies and cakes in town. Because of her love for people, and children in particular, she devoted over 30 years of her life to working at Head Start of Indian River County, FL. Beronzy would open her heart and her home caring for children and providing refuge and respite for those in need of motherly and Christian guidance. She tirelessly practiced the love ethic of Jesus Christ with whomever she came in contact with on her journey. Beronzys love for family was evident and profound. Through her actions she continued to teach us to truly live, laugh, and love while acknowledging the gift of each sunrise and sunset God has given us.

She leaves, to celebrate her life and legacy, her husband; Eldridge A. Wheeler, children; Beverly Brown, Julius Baker, Jr. (Azlee), Adriane Tomlin, William Baker, siblings; Nicey Williams, Harry Hudson (Hazel), Doris Wright, Eddie Hudson (Martha), Emma Hudson, A. Ronald Hudson (Jackye), as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, in sorrow, yet grateful friends and neighbors.

She was predeceased by her children; Anthony Baker and Wilette McCleod and siblings; Bernice Lewis and Clifford Hudson.

Viewing will be at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home 6:008:00 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014.
