Joseph C. Bradley, 93, died on July 15, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL.
He was born in Paterson, NJ and moved to Florida from Fair Lawn, NJ in 1986.
Mr. Bradley earned a BA and a MA from Montclair State University with courses for professional growth from William Patterson State University and Columbia University in NYC.
He retired from the New Jersey school system in 1983 and was an agent for a national book publishing company.
Mr. Bradley was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, an Army veteran of WWII, a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, the 691st Field Artillery Battalion Association, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, a Lions Club of NJ, and a coordinator of the Ridge Runners of Sandridge Golf Course, Vero Beach.
He is survived by nephews, Dr. John Bradley of Clifton, NJ, Edward Bradley of Lincoln Park, NJ, Rev. C.V. Bradley of Alpharetta, GA, JV Bradley of Santa Fe, NM; nieces, Mary Louise Deblasio of Oakland, NJ, Shirley Sanfalippo of Mantoloken, NJ, Bernice Winchuh of Wayne, NJ, Kathleen Elrod of Mt. Airy, GA, and Elizabeth Bradley of Alpharetta, GA.
Mr. Bradley was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Marie Hill Bradley; five brothers, John, James, Leo, Vincent and Edward; nephew, Robert L. Bradley of Clifton, NJ; and niece, Shirley Sanfilippo of Mantoloking, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m., August 12, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
An inurnment will be held 10 a.m., August 20, 2014 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the charity of one�s choice.
