James C. Emerick, 71, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was born August 26, 1943 in Rock Island, Illinois and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1960, coming from Estes Park, CO.
Mr. Emerick was a veteran of the US Navy serving in Vietnam.
He retired as a mechanical superintendent working with nuclear devices.
James was a member of United Union Association Local 725, Miami. VFW, American Legion and a member of Tabernacle Church of Vero Beach.
He is survived by 2 sons, Russ Emerick of Vero Beach and Scott Emerick of Tennessee; and 1 granddaughter, Loren Emerick of Vero Beach.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8th, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home with a service to be held at 7PM with Pastor David Foster, of Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating.
