Bruce Allan Thompson, 59, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born September 28, 1953 in Vero Beach, Florida and had been a lifetime resident.
Mr. Thompson had worked as a skilled carpenter and also specialized in building custom cabinets. He was an artist and enjoyed painting landscapes.
He was a member of Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his daughter, Summer Thompson of Vero Beach; son, USMC Cpl. Justus Thompson of California; four brothers, Bill Thompson of Mobile, AL, Richard Thompson and Robert Thompson both of Vero Beach and Larry Thompson of Portland, OR; sister, Joanne Harrison of Vero Beach; five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Melenda Thompson and son, T.C. Thompson.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, February 9th at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with Pastor Buddy Tipton of Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach, officiating.
