Paul F. King, age 83, passed away August 20, 2019 peacefully at home, following a long illness.
He was born in Springfield, MA to parents, Royal C. and Minnie Avitable King.
Paul was proud to have served in the United States Army.
He had a long successful career in sales in the electronics industry. For 11 years, Paul was the owner/operator of a one-hour motophoto and portrait studio in Wallingford, CT.
He retired to Vero Beach in 2006 and was employed by the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department, as a permanent part time attendant working mostly at Leisure Square.
Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice King; son, William King; daughter-in-law, Denise King; granddaughter, Julianna all of Kensington, CT; daughter, Laura King of Windsor Locks, CT; and sister, Susan King of Palmer, MA and several nieces and nephews and their families.
He is predeceased by his sister, Judith Savas and husband, Harry of Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
Paul enjoyed life to the fullest and was most passionate about boating including many beautiful days fishing and cruising Long Island Sound.
He was proud to have earned United States Coast Guard Captain’s License to operate.
His other passions included caring for Basset Hounds and woodworking, especially the building of his tiki bar. Mostly he enjoyed activities with his many friends and family.
He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and shining eyes.
The family would like to thank his compassionate caregivers: Frances Hodervil, Berthide Clercira, and Erlande Doasca.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m., November 5, 2019 at Christ The King Church, 4050 77th St., Vero Beach, FL 32967.

Dearest Alice, You married a wonderful man who had the best smile, and quiet calmness about him that took over a room…we are honored we got to meet him and stay with you both in your old and new homes. You gave him such comfort and joy right up until the end and those are memories that will never go away. Bless you
