Douglas L. Gault, age 85, passed away August 28, 2019 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born May 13, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Richard and Mildred Gault.
Mr. Gault served in the United States Army.
Doug owned many businesses including Glendale Auto Parts in Farmington, Michigan and Slasor Heating and Cooling in Detroit Michigan.
For over 35 years, he served as the President of Flower World Florist, Vero Beach.
Doug was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Suzanne Gault; daughters, Lora Gault and Kimberly (Derek) Eckley; step-children, Robert (Kristin) Cote, Scott (Cecelia) Cote, and James (Cindy) Cote; siblings, Norma Pomeroy, Ralph (Carol) Gault, and Frederick “Bud” Gault; daughter-in-law, Denise Cote Lashell; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by step-son, Rick Cote and nephews, Rick Gault and Michael Gault.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, 1750 20th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 3375 20th St Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Suzanne, I am very sorry I missed Doug’s service last Saturday. I intended to go before work, then the hurricane craziness started and I had to focus on that. I never met your husband but I hear he was very a very kind and sweet man. I hope you are getting lots of love and support from your family and friends and I look forward to working together again soon. Sincerely, Carolyn
