Gladys E. Tifft, age 82, passed away March 08, 2018 at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Rutland, VT and later moved from Hazardville, CT to Jensen Beach, FL.
Gladys retired from the Palm Beach Post. She worked in the Stuart and Port St. Lucie offices, both as a carrier in the beginning and moving to the office as an Assistant to the Manager. She worked for 26 years before she retired. She also worked for the Stuart News.
Survivors include husband, Francis Sr.; her daughter, Carol Tifft Whelan; sons, Steven and F. Richard Jr.; eight grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2018 with a 3 p.m. service to follow, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., 3375 20th Street, Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

My deepest sympathy to Frank, Richard, Carol and all of the family in the loss of Gladys. I didn’t have much contact with her until later in our lives. I know she dearly loved you all and was very compassionate about pets. I, as well as many others will miss her Facebook, Messenger, and e-mails she would send frequently. God bless her!
