Susan was so welcoming and warm when I first moved to Orchid Island. I was fortunate to be a tennis partner and enjoyed her happy spirit – a very sad loss. Patti Gaede

Sue was an inspiration to us all, especially once she became so ill. When she was healthy, she was so upbeat, always on the go, and constantly doing things for other people. Once she was ill, she continued to think of others rather than herself. We’ll miss her, and I’m so blessed to have had her for a friend. Jerry, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mary VanCleef was my 2nd grade teacher in East Millstone, NJ. I begged her to let me stay @ their beautiful home on River Road, Millstone, NJ for the night & to bring my sister Sue…she went for it! It was memorable & I remember meeting her daughters Sue & Nancy. I am very sad for the Van Cleef family & for their loss. Perhaps we will meet someday in the Cedar Hill Cemetery one of the most serene places I have ever been! Shelley Garretson Krauszer, Vero Beach, FL

Susan your spirit and love is with us always. Truly a Angle whom earned her wings over and over. Every memory, Susan could walk in a room to only bring brightness and joy to all. She had that way. Can remember that since I was a little squirt. A women of many talents. A woman with strong incentive striving for perfection. A woman with deep unselfish heart. A self-sacrificing woman determined to help others any way possible. In turn, Susan couldn’t have a more devoted, loving husband than Gerry. Childhood sweethearts. Gerry a man if could would stop the world from spinning for Susan. Susan and Garry a true class act. A couple movies are made of! We are all with you Susan with much Peace, Hope, Faith and Love. My prayers with the entire Hull House Tribe. And Susan smiling cause there’s a lot of ya. Love you guys, Warren

Sue was a beautiful, kind person inside and out. I will miss our girls night out, playing tennis, lunches, and grandchildren gossip. She never failed to ask about our family and talked about her children and grandchildren of which she was so deeply proud. Jerry, you were her anchor and support. During this last year especially, it was so hard on Sue and therefore you. She tried so hard to be upbeat for all of us, always smiling. She was an inspiration and she will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with you and your family.
