Pauline “Polly” Jones Sameth, age 82, of Mantoloking, NJ and Vero Beach, FL passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 in Vero Beach. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ruth and Samuel Jones. She was a loving wife of 62 years to her husband, Richard Sameth.

Surviving are her son, John Sameth; daughter, Jennifer Bell and her husband, Bob and their children, Madeleine, Audrey, and Brandon; son, Jeff Sameth and his child, Christina; daughter, Jill Smith and her husband, Eric and their children, Gemma and Ryan. Polly was predeceased by her brother, John Jones.

Polly enjoyed painting, gardening, the beach, and decorating. She especially loved being a grandma and spending time with her family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on July 25, 2020 at 11am at St. Simon-by-the-Sea in Mantoloking.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in her memory to The Vero Beach Museum of Art at 3001 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963. If you have any questions, please contact the museum’s Development Assistant at 772-231-0707 x123.

Dick, Jeff and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Polly was wonderfully kind and welcoming. I remember when I interviewed to work at Western and she and you invited me to stay at your home. That was so nice and really hospitable. Thanks for your kind support through the years. I am lifting your family in prayer at this sad occasion. God bless. love Kathy
