Julia L. Palermo, 84, of Vero Beach died February 8th, 2020. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. and moved to Vero Beach from Covington, GA.
She retired from the U.S. Customs Department of Treasury where she worked from 1986-2001.
She was a member of St. Helens Catholic Church and the Republican Headquarters of Indian River County.
She is survived by her son, Steven Aftanis; daughter, Susan Aftanis Towns and son-in-law, Todd Towns; her grandson, Steven Afantis, Jr. and wife, Shirley Afantis and great-granddaughter, Ananda Aftanis.
Family will greet friends 2-4 PM, Friday, February 14th, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
