Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Sunday February 2, 2020, after the Superbowl had been decided and the parties wound down, beloved husband and father, Stephen (Steve) Paul Brewer, 71 years old, lost his battle to kidney cancer and left this world to smile down upon us for eternity as our angel in heaven. Steve was born to the late Paul and Desiree Brewer on June 4th, 1948 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda, son Jonathan, daughters Jessica (Jesse) and Christine (Trevor), brothers Jim and Bruce and sister Sandi. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lycoming College in 1970. He moved to Vero Beach in 1980 and called it home ever since. Steve and his brother Jim proudly took over their father’s business, Brewer International in 1990 (founded by Paul Brewer 1977) and grew it to be a successful business that still runs to this day.
Steve’s daughters Jessica and Christine blessed him with four grandchildren who he loved dearly: Piper (5), Daniel (4), Kiera (3), and Hudson (1). His grandchildren were a great source of joy for him.
Steve was a loving and loyal friend and will be missed by many. Steve considered Vero Beach to be his own little paradise surrounded by his wife and friends. He was active in the Sunrise Rotary Club and Elks Lodge where he made life-long friends. He often traveled with them for charity work in the Dominican Republic and helped organize the annual Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest whose proceeds went directly back to the community and local charities.
Aside from being a world traveler, hopeless romantic, and loving family man, Steve was a man of deep Christian faith involving himself in the GraceSpring Church for the last 40 years. He played an active role in his church and openly shared his faith with his family and friends.
In his early years, Steve followed in his father’s footsteps and served his country in the Army Reserves.
A public memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 10, 2020 at GraceSpring Church, 1955 20th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to GraceSpring Church and/or the Rotary Club at Vero Beach Sunrise Foundation Inc., 4049 Ocean Dr., #506 Vero Beach, FL 32963
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

I count it a great honor and blessing to have done business with Steve Brewer & Brewer International for 35+ years. I was also privileged to have Steve as a friend for all of those years. We had our faith in common and had many, many wonderful conversations about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and what he was doing in and through us. I am just heartbroken and struggling to deal with this. The world will now be short a wonderful man and it is up to his children and grandchildren to carry on his wonderful legacy. To Linda and the rest of the Family: My sincerest condolences. May the fullness of the Lord’s Grace & Mercy be with you in your time of great loss. To Steve: WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN IS GREAT! In Steve’s Memory I have donated 5 Bibles through the Gideons International organization.

Steve was one of the very first to support the Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Foundation way back in 1996 – and he has been faithful sponsor ever since. I met Steve when I was the resident EPA Agent Florida in the 70s and 80s. Steve has been a faithful friend and colleague. He and his staff have always been a pleasure to work with because of Steve’s leadership and pleasant demeanor. He was always welcoming and smiling. He will definitely be missed in the aquatics industry. Our prayers are with him, his family and his colleagues.

My sincerest of sympathies to all of the family. Take peace in knowing that Steve no longer has pain or is ill. He probably is up there looking for the best wine for dinner. Steve always had a smile, was always the first to extend his hand for a handshake and a good laugh. I loved his hear his laugh in a room. He will be missed but never forgotten.
