Loved my cousin, Carolyn! She was always so warm and welcoming whenever we were able to visit. Cindy and David, you were so blessed to have such a loving mother who gave you so much encouragement, hospitality and love. Please know that the entire Shields family wished we would be able to be present for her memorial but with current circumstances, I hope you understand.

I am saddened to hear that Carolyn has passed and so close to Russel’s passing. They were a lovely couple who always had a kind word to say to everyone. Carolyn took such good care of Russell and was always looking out for him and others. She had a personality that drew people to her and always included everyone around her when in a group. She and Russell would frequently attend First Baptist Church of Wabasso and they were dearly loved and will be missed. Prayers for the family.

Dear David and family, I have sweet childhood memories of your momma teaching me in Sunday school. Always remember her as so loving and kind. I’m sure you will miss her, but what peace we all have knowing she is at home celebrating our Savior on the streets of gold❤️ Oh what a day of rejoicing that will be when we will all be together again for eternity! Praying the Lord will bring comfort to your hearts in the days ahead, and that you too will carry on her loving legacy! “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 With love & prayers, from your childhood friend, Lisa Buhler Milton
