Mary Ann Taylor of Vero Beach, Florida passed away after a brief illness on Friday, June 3rd, 2022.

Known to family and friends as “ Annie”, she was born on April 26th, 1943 to Mary Louise Jennings and Robert Chapman in Felda, Florida.

At 15, Annie’s mother Mary and stepfather Calvin Weier moved the family to Boca Raton, Florida where she stayed until she retired from her successful banking career.  As a young high school graduate, Annie worked her way up from the bookkeeping department at First Bank and Trust of Boca Raton to VP/ Branch Manager at NCNB Bank where she was admired and respected by her co-workers and patrons alike.  In 1984, Annie decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Palm Beach County and move to Vero Beach in favor of it’s small town quaintness and to be closer to her family.  Shortly after moving, she met and married the love of her life, Matthew and together shared 38 years.

Annie is pre-deceased by her parents, Mary and Calvin Weier, her sister and brother-in-law Dana Sue “Susie” and William “Bill” Schmitz, her great-nieces Jessica Lynn Schmitz and Avery Weier and her great-nephew Caiden Weier.

Left to honor and cherish Annie is her beloved Matthew Taylor, her brother Christopher and his wife Linda Weier, nieces Shelley and her husband John Adams III, Kimberly and her husband Michael Oliver, Dana and her husband Jack Barker and Katherine “Katie” Weier, nephews James and his wife Anna Weier, Calvin and his wife Heather Weier and Michael Weier, great-nieces Amber and her husband James Schmidt, Brittany Harris, Danielle Barker, Christina Weier, Harlow Weier and great-nephews John Adams IV, William Adams, Easton Weier, Caysen Weier and Lincoln Weier, her aunt and uncle Fran and David Schafer and many cousins and friends.

Annie’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Taylor’s home on Saturday, June 11th.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie’s honor to VNA Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

Annie will always be remembered as loving and kind. She seemed to have the correct answer for any question you might have. If she didn’t have it right away she would search until she did. She had the most amazing smile and a twinkle in her eye. She will always be in our hearts.

She was the sweetis, most caring person I’ve ever known, no offense to my aunt Fran and grandmother Nancy. I feel like she never transformed from an angel when it was her turn on earth, I don’t believe she had a bad bone in her whole body. Aunt Annie we were so fortunate to have you in our life, we love you and we’ll miss you.

I thank God for the privilege of knowing her and being a part of her family on this Earth and I praise him for the greater privilege of being a part of her family in heaven when the time comes it’s hard to find the words to say all the words of what she meant to us we love her and we will miss her God bless

My Aunt Annie can’t be explained in the few words the English language can provide to define someone of her likeness. Everyone has heard about the classic “Karen” meme on the internet, you know, the bossy mean lady at the neighborhood BBQ. Well, much unlike a “Karen” this is my attempt to describe someone as an “Annie”. An “Annie” is a lazy Sunday afternoon. The lovely time of day where there’s nothing to do and nothing left to do but to enjoy the smiling Sunday setting sun. And, Just above the horizon nestles an “Annie” pulling the sun around the earth. Annie is someone who makes the world go-round for so many. A true Main Character, my Aunt Annie.

Annie always had a smile! She was a beautiful and intelligent woman who made men’s hearts go pitter-patter! I haven’t seen Annie in many years, but I can still see that beautiful smile and the sweetness she gave with it. She was such a good natured person and people enjoyed being around her. Annie and Matt, her beloved, were made for each other. She most definitely will be missed by her family and friends.
