Elizabeth Mary Barot, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, age 67, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Liz was born June 21, 1955, in Muswell Hill, a suburb of London, to Gwilym Jones and Eleanor Morgan.
Liz met the love of her life and married Bharat Kumar Barot in January of 1980 at the old World Trade Center in New York. This was, in itself, a small miracle, since his family was from a small village in India (Changa), and her family was from a small town in Wales (Aberystwyth). After crossing paths in England, they moved to New Jersey and created a life together with 2 children.
She enjoyed working with people, and did so throughout her career, working in various managerial roles in the retail/customer service industries. Yet, she always managed to balance her work/family responsibilities perfectly.
Liz loved reading Danielle Steel novels, chatting with friends & family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed baking with Laila. Her most popular dish was her heavenly trifle.
She is survived by her son, Neil; daughter, Sheila; daughter-in-law, Yajaira; granddaughter, Laila; and her three grandsons, Lucas, Cameron, and Jeremy.
Liz is predeceased by her husband, Bharat Kumar Barot; parents, Gwilym Jones & Eleanor Morgan; and her two brothers, Emrys Jones & Glyn Jones.
Elizabeth was loved by all and has left a big void in our hearts. She will be missed tremendously.
Those wishing to make donations in Liz’s memory are graciously requested to consider the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service celebrating Elizabeth’s life beginning at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
