Adora Marie Burkes, age 39, passed away peacefully on August 16th 2025 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Adora was born in Fairfax, Virginia.
She worked for the St. Lucie County School Board for 14 years teaching both AP and honors Chemistry as well as Environmental Science.
Adora attended and graduated from Florida Atlantic University.
Survivors include her loving Husband Benjamin; Father Larry; Mother Deborah; Sister Sheila (Byron); Brothers Larry Jr. (Jenny), Torey (Victoria), and Mario; Uncles Charles and Wallace (Sandra); and Cousin Kristen.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23rd, 2025, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
