Albert J. “AJ” Schroeder, 81, died Wednesday, June 10, 2021, at Hospice House. He was the husband of Mary “Judie” Schroeder, with whom he celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 5, 2021.
Born July 24, 1939, in Queens, NY, He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and worked was a well driller until he started his irrigation business, Schroeder Irrigation, Inc in 1977, which he and his wife ran for 44 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his favorite spot on the river. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Schroeder was survived by his two sons, Stephen Schroeder and Frederick Schroeder and his wife Mary Schroder, three grandchildren, Stephanie, Carissa and Ryan Schroeder, his brother Wilbert Wordell, sister in laws: Terry Schroeder & Marilyn Wordell.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond Schroeder, Carl Wordell & Eddie Wordell.

Hi Judie, Steve and Fred, So sorry about AL. I really enjoyed working and hunting with him. He lived a good life and helped a lot of people. Sincerely John Vetter

DEAREST JUDIE, STEVE AND FRED, I AM SO VERY SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF AL. HE WAS SUCH AN AWESOME MAN. WE HAD GREAT TIMES AND THE BEST LAUGHS AT THE OLD SKIP WRIGHTS STEAK HOUSE. HE WAS TRULY A FUN, HAPPY, GENEROUS, LOVING GUY! I WILL MISS HIM BUT I HAVE TONS OF GREAT MEMORIES. YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS!
