Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
With grace, warmth, and unwavering love, Anita passed away peacefully at the age of 87. A woman whose heart beat strongest for her family and friends, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and deep connection.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Anita lived a life marked by devotion and quiet strength. Though she endured the profound loss of her four beloved children Anthony, Frankie, Michael and Jeffrey she remained a pillar of love and support to those around her. Her joy was found in the laughter of her grandchildren and niece and the blessing of watching them grow into adulthood. Trips to Long Island to visit her dear friend Phyllis, stories shared over coffee with friends, family gatherings, canasta games, visits with her dear friend Marilyn and the simple beauty of everyday moments filled her life and soothed her heart.
Anita was a wonderful cook whose kitchen was the heart of her home and meals were lovingly prepared. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple weekday supper or her delicious soup for a sick friend or family member, her food nourished more than bodies- it brought people together, sparked memories and wrapped loved ones in warmth.
She is survived by her cherished sister Charlene David, devoted daughter-in-law Katy Palma, two loving grandchildren AJ Palma and Krissy Wykeham, two great-grandchildren Griffin and Jasper Wykeham who brought her endless delight, her dear niece Cara Brown, and her great-niece Kylie and great-nephew Camden who always made her smile.
Among her treasured possessions was a pocket watch engraved with the words “So Little Time”- a quiet reflection of her deep appreciation for life’s fleeting beauty and the moments that mattered most.
Her home was a haven of warmth, her table always open, and her heart always full. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her hopeful faith in the goodness of people, and the way she made everyone feel like family.

My dearest Anita,
It’s hard to put into words what your friendship meant. I’ll always treasure the times we shared — , the laughter, and the love we shared. Though you’re no longer here, you live in my heart. You’ll always be deeply loved and dearly missed.

Charlene, we are very sorry for your loss. While I didn’t know Anita well, she seemed to be a sweet and thoughtful woman. What a beautiful obituary you wrote!
