Ann K. Klim of Vero Beach, passed away on October 4, 2022 at the age of 91.  She was born in Darien, CT and spent most of her life in Norwalk, CT.  Ann and her husband retired to Vero Beach, FL in 1992.

Ann was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and gentle and kind grandma.

Ann enjoyed spending time with family.  Before a debilitating illness in her late 30’s that left her with limited walking and speaking ability, Ann enjoyed sewing, making pastries, decorating Easter eggs and arranging and hosting large family gatherings.

Ann was a woman of great patience, kindness, and love.  She taught us all how to be patient and joyful even as she fought through her health condition.  Ann loved to laugh and smile.  One of her life’s mottos was, “I can cry or I can laugh; I’d rather laugh.”  Ann and Ed had a devoted marriage of 63 years and referred to each other as “two peas in a pod.”  Their marriage was the ultimate example of love and commitment.

Ann is survived by daughter Donna Marshall (Todd), son Kevin Klim (Stacey), and 6 grandchildren: Aubrey Halterman (Tyler), Joseph Callahan (Kathryn), Jackson Klim, Sylvia Klim, Adava Faber (Ethan) and Joshua Marshall.

Ann was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Edward G. Klim, sisters Irene Kyllingstad, Jolanda Siladi, and brothers Stephen and Joseph Kertesz.

There will be a small gathering of family and friends for a Celebration of Life/Memorial at the Dixon’s residence at noon on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk, CT at a date yet to be determined.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

I remember Aunt Ann before her illness, caring for my brother David and I in Ct when we were about 3 and 2. She was preparing for a dinner party and left the room. We dug into a bowl of red jello and went to town. I’m sure we were guilty, red faced children. It became a favorite story over the years.
