Barbara Jean “Jeannie” Chesser, age 85, of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, moving to Reading, PA, prior to Vero Beach.
Jeannie had spent five years as a field agent with Independent Life Insurance Company.
She was a member of First Church of God, Vero Beach.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, William E. “Gene” Chesser; her sister, Judy Weaber, Pennsylvania, PA; her son, James A. Chesser of Sebastian; and her daughter, Melanie Jean Chesser of Vero Beach, who was also her care giver during her last days.
Jeannie was predeceased by her father, Walter R. Moyer, her mother, Ruth Lydia Miller, and her sister, Patricia Wishneski, all of Reading, PA and her brother, Daryl Moyer. Jeannie also joins in heaven her multiple children, who passed away at childbirth.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service celebrating Jeannie’s life beginning at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
