“In life I loved you dearly

In death I love you still

In my heart you hold a place

That no one will ever fill.

It breaks my heart to lose you

But you didn’t go alone

For part of me went with you

The day God called you home.

I didn’t see this coming

It hit us all by surprise

And when you left for heaven

A small part of me died.

Overwhelmed with so many emotions

Knowing you have found peace at last

If love alone could have saved you

You never would have passed.

Your smile could brighten anyone’s day

No matter what they were going through

And every day for the rest of my life

I’ll be missing you.”

Dear Pete, Karen, Gary, Ollie and family, We would never have felt ready to say good-bye to someone as special as Barbara, but this timing feels especially tough as well as far too abrupt. Wishing your family comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead, and want you to know that we care about you, and share in your sadness. We sincerely offer anything you need. Sincerely, Kathy and Marc

Cathy Kolen- cousin Dear Karen and family and of course her husband, and children and grand children, I have not seen Barbara since we were kids at our grandmothers house in Hempstead, NY, and just the past year have been in contact with her through Facebook. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, wife, grandmother and friend, as it was a total surprise to hear of her passing. I am sorry I could not attend the celebration of life, as I have never used Zoom before and could not get into the virtual service. ( not too computer literate, either). Wishing the entire family my sincerest thoughts, and prayers as you go through this difficult time. They say time heals all, but memories will always be with us and at this time let it be only the good memories that stay with all of us. God Bless ! Sincerely, Cathy Kolen. If I could get a prayer card it would be appreciated. thank you!
