Barbara Zimmerman Fisher, age 87, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her home in Vero Beach.
She was born in Omaha, Nebraska and spent most of her life in Weston, MA and Vero Beach.
Mrs. Fisher taught Kindergarten and First Grade when she gave birth to her first child.
While raising her children she volunteered at PTA, belonged to Country Garden Club of Weston, and was a member of the Indian River Literary Society.
Mrs. Fisher was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, at Omaha.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth G. Fisher; daughter, Karen Fisher Roney and son-in-law, Jeffrey T. Roney; grandson, Stephen Fisher Thacher Roney and granddaughter, Carolyn Ruth Roney.
Mrs. Fisher was predeceased by her son, Mark Thomas Fisher.
