Ben Stewart passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne, FL.
Ben was in the military, serving in Germany, until retiring at age 34.
In 1965, he moved to Ft. Pierce, where he started his own business, Ben Stewart Sand Mines.
In 1991, Ben decided to retire to Franklin, NC. After enjoying his retirement, he decided to move to Vero Beach in 1994.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Kenny Stewart; brothers, William “Bill” Stewart, Jacob Stewart; sister Louise Hudson; and two grandsons.
Ben enjoyed ballroom dancing on his cruise trips, walking on the beach and volunteering for Christian ministries.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Christ by the Sea, 3755 Hwy. A1A, Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Christ by the Sea, 3755 Hwy. A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
