Carl was a dear friend, (for 30 years) first meeting as co-workers at the Tax Collectors Office. Upon my family’s return to Dayton, Ohio we kept in contact the past 27 years without Facebook! We hand wrote letters and cards. When I would come to town we would hang out at the Riverside Cafe. Carl was instrumental helping me with tasks and special projects at work. It was because of him, I was a success at my job. Carl took me and a couple friends on a boat excursion on the Indian River before I moved. It was my first, and last, boat ride on the inter coastal. Such fun! Most of all, we were just “good” friends who could laugh over nothing in particular. His presence in my life will be greatly missed. May peace be with you, my friend.

Carl was a real good friend of my late husband Charlie and I. Met him 31 years ago when I started coming to Veto with Charlie. He was such a nice kind and sweet man. May God bless you all as you mourn the loss of such a great man. May his soul test in peace. With love Ann

My deepest sympathies to the Elliott family. I knew Carl from working at the Sheriff’s Office. Also, when I worked for the law firm of Vocelle, Gallagher & Block, Carl and Jeanne were our clients. May he rest in peace.
